Haiti Relief Fundraier Night {UNICEP} : Charity Event

“We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give.”
Sir Winston Churchill (1874 – 1965)

It’s already February of 2010.  I can’t  believe I haven’t blogged yet. More entries coming soon. My first blog entry of 2010 is about “Giving”. This isn’t to boast what I do or how much I care.  I just wanted to  remind all of us who are willing to give but don’t get to do it as often as you should.  Here is recent article on Haiti if you are not following.  There are people like Sam and Stephanie who can organize big events like in such a short time, but also there are some of us who can only do little at a time.A friend asked me if I can fill in for few hours to cover this Unicef charity event to help Haiti Victims at the Orchid Restaurant and Cafe last Thursday. I am happy to give my time and talent to charity. If you are an organizer of non-profit events or charity events and in need of photography please don’t hesitate to contact me.  If I am not booked and if it’s something that I believe in, I will be there. The Orchid restaurant is an awesome place for your special events, very airy and modern.  This place was filing up quickly as I was leaving, I am sure the even was very successful. Thank you for allowing me to be part of this Stephanie and Sam!

as I was leaving the place was filing up fast so I am pretty sure that the event was very successful.

Bar Mizvah Saturday for Sam 05.31.08

Wednesday, June 4th, 2008

Last Saturday, I watched an amazing 13 years old boy named Sam celebrating his Bar Mitzvah surrounded by the love of his family and friends. Temple Judea allowed me to photograph during the shabbat morning service so I was able to watch Sam read the Torah. Not only he did an amazing job reading the Torah, but he also wrote a very touching thank you message. My surprise did not end there, Sam loves to sing, play Jazz and swing dance. He also devotes some of his time to charity. It’s always pleasure for me to photograph the special family events. Sam’s family definitely has the foundation of love. There were lot’s of kisses, hugs and laughter all night long.
Click here to order photos if you were a Sam’s guest
Click here to see their slide show and here are some of my favorites of Sam!

I love this shot of Sam

Sam with his handsome younger brothers
Jon Layne and his crew from the Party Layne did an awesome job! By far the best MC that photographers would love to work with!
- If you have an event coming up you should definitely try to book these guys. They are so awesome! Please mention my name Jon will take care of you. And Jon definitely looks better in person. Especially, All the ladies at the party LOVED him!

Birthday Party with the sea sharks

Monday, May 12th, 2008

“Sea Sharks” was Owen’s 5th year birthday party theme this year. I always get so excited to shoot birthday party because it’s always filed with lots of laughter and surprises.
I’ve been photographing birthday parties for Owen’s family for about three years now. Each party was fun and filled with fun details even when mommy was pregnant with his younger sister.
This year’s big surprise was the Aquarium of the Pacific! Nice ladies from the Aquarium of the Pacific brought the baby sharks and the starfishes for Owen and his guests. They are too many fun photos to choose from but here are few of my favorites. I will upload the slideshow later!

but I don’t think it impressed Owen that much

Adam was so great with kids! -look how serious Owen looks!
So cute~~~
Jump for fun was a big hit!- I wanted to jump in with the kids but I was afraid my lens would hurt them.

LA Event Photographer- Bel Air Birthday Party

Sunday, December 2nd, 2007

Snow in Los Angeles? Yes I saw the snow falling from the sky and two reindeers in Bel Air today. I was commissioned to shoot Daily’s 10th Birthday party.

This family of six really put their love together to help Daily celebrate her birthday with her friends; Dad was helping with pop corn machine & snow cone maker, mom made sure there was enough snow in their backyard, older brother baked cake and two little ones helped to make sure everything went smoothly. Here is one of my favorite image.
