Los Angeles Family Photographer { JISOO @ 5months }

Tuesday, September 20th, 2011

Last week, I had a chance to photograph this beautiful little baby girl in Downtown L.A. Her session was scheduled for 5pm and it’s probably the latest I’ve ever photographed the baby in my entire career. Babies and Children normally do better in the mornings but Jisoo was an exceptional baby.  For many years, I watched Jisoo’s parents anxiously waiting for her arrival. She is such a precious little girl and I am pretty sure her parents feels as though it was worth all the wait and the trouble they had to go through. I feel lucky to be able to document her life and watch her grow.

This is the first greeting I received from Jisoo at 5:30pm

Can you guess where she got her cute dimples from?

she was totally working the camera!

Too cute to describe!

It was bit too late for the sunset shot but we were able to grab few family portraits from their rooftop patio.

Bit of reality check for photographers, but I love her face even when she is crying. This happens to be her dad’s favorite look so I am posting it anyway!

Los Angeles Baby Photographer {Evelyn @ 2months}

Thursday, January 27th, 2011

It’s been a hectic week  at Ambient Photography studio . Well, that is me and myself alone.

So, I thought I’d escape from this madness and write January entry before it’s too late.

This image makes me smile.  Long before I started photographing weddings, i  began photographing children on BW film.

Because this little human beings teach me so many new things everyday.

Welcome to this world Evelyn!  She was a pure joy to photograph. I can’t wait to share more.

and as usual my newborn client did not fell asleep until the very end of the shoot.

more to come…

Los Angeles Family Photography, Central Park Family Portrait session

Tuesday, August 17th, 2010

Life has been hectic since my last trip to New York in June. But editing these photos made me happy. Unlike most wedding photographers who venture into children’s photography after wedding photography. When I first started my business majority of my business were based on children’s portraiture. Though I don’t have a child yet but after photographing children for almost decades now. I can say that I know a thing or two about raising children.  These two well mannerd kids were joy to photograph. If you have been to my family portrait site, you will recognize their faces. Their mother Jennifer is my friend and the biggest supporter of my career.
I have known these two beautiful children since they were little. They call me “Tammie Imo” (aunt Tammie in Korean). I wish I could see them more often but Andy and I are very thankful for having them in our lives.  I don’t think I have officially thanked Jennifer so here it goes Jen, I hope these photos show my deepest appreciation and thank you for making cute babies.  I love you xoxo! (it’s very weird to say this maybe cause we are Korean :) (oh yes, you will still have to wait few more days to see rest of photos)

Porter Ranch Baby Photographer {Baby Lucas} :Teaser Monday

Monday, February 8th, 2010

I enjoy photographing weddings but also enjoy photographing little ones. Previous wedding clients call me whenever they have happy news to share. So that’s how it all began. I’ve been dying to share some baby images on this blog but they kept on pushed back because of wedding previews.  So the most recent baby will have an honor to be the first featured baby on my blog.  Here is a quick teaser of  last week’s session in my studio. He is only 10 days old here.  For some reason, my newborns don’t really fall asleep during our session. Not only that they are all natural born models and actors.

Oh those dreamy eyes!

So easy going just like his parents. I love how baby’s lips are shaped.

Granvile Island Vancouver Mini-Portrait Session

Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008

It was a beautiful day in Vancouver, BC. When the warm afternoon light illuminated relaxing Granville Island, I had a wonderful opportunity to photograph this cute girl named Violet and her handsome father. (Violet’s gorgeous mother was jogging around the island) After our mini-portrait session, Violet’s father told me that they do this almost every weekend.  What a sweet moment I captured. I hope you treasure these images for years to come Violet!   It turns out Violet’s mother is an aspiring photographer herserlf. She shared her photos with me later via internet.   Can’t wait to photograph your family again in LA.
I just love what Violet was wearing… so cute….
