Pacific Palisades Baby Photographer {Baby Gage} @ 3 weeks

Monday, May 19th, 2008

Last Thursday, I photographed this charming baby named Gage.
This tall and hansome newborn is in 70 percentile!
Gage’s mother is a strikingly beautiful model so you know where he gets his good looks from.

well, from the displayed family photos his daddy isn’t bad looking either :)
Gage also has a very cute older sister who loves him very much.
I can’t wait to photograph the family again in the fall.
It was not a love at first sight for Gage and I :) He wasn’t really sure about me
.

Gage’s mom wanted all B&W images but I fell in love with Gage’s blue eyes.
I found out Gage and I have something in common, Gage prefers this position for sleeping too. :)
I think Gage was too excited for our photo shoot, his mother told me that he did not sleep at all in the morning. So he was really really tired.
I decided to let him sleep. I did not want him to be traumatized from his first photo session.

Los Angeles Baby Photographer {Serena at 6moths} :

Thursday, March 13th, 2008

I have been documenting Serena’s first year. This project was arranged before Serena was born. I saw Serena’s older siblings and I knew that she was going to have the gorgeous set of deep blue eyes. My first meeting with Serena was when she was only 3 weeks old so I did not get to see her blue eyes. When Melissa brought Serena out in her pretty blue dress, I thought I saw most beautiful baby in the whole world. Well, all babies are beautiful! but this one is special…. Don’t you think?
So here is image of her with no retouching or enhancement.

Her eyes are really that big and blue
Miss Personality!
Here is Serena at 3 weeks while she was dreaming in her mommy’s arm.
All she wanted was to eat and sleep as what babies supposed to do. I had to walk away with one roll of 120 film, that is 16 shots. I wanted to document her on my medium format camera, Mamiya 645 with Ilford HP5 film which I have been testing extensively in the past for my fine art work. When the film retured from the lab, I was thrilled to see this image.
I still love film, I am not denying digital but I think film captures nostalgic essence of things.

Sunday in Pacific Palisades

Monday, November 12th, 2007

I normally don’t set up any session on Sunday, but this time of year. I try to do best I can to accomdate my clients’ to help them create their lovely holiday cards. As you know, we have been having London weather in Los Angeles for a while. So I was worried when I saw the weather forcast for Sunday. But sky lighten up with gorgeous glow by the time we were ready to shoot. Sarah & Jenna are two very sweet and goreous girls. They are both so well-mannered and polite. Andy and I could not stop talking about these girls on our way home. Emily, the oldest sister is studying in Paris so we decided to do separate shots of girls for this year’s holiday card. Emily will be e-mailing me of her portrait shot by her boyfriend in Paris. I think the weather worked out well so we can match California weather to Paris. Can’t wait to see their holiday card put together!

Christmas in October

Wednesday, October 31st, 2007

I have been photographing these cute girls since their christening. Marley is now 3 1/2 years old and Giulia is 1 1/2 years old. I love photographing children and I count this as one of the greatest blessings in life, watching these children grow and being part of commemorating their life with my images.
I’ve got much needed cardio photographing these girls.
I love their cute red dress that Marely picked out. Can’t you already tell that she has a great taste for fashion? It’s simply beautiful and looks comfortable!
Here are few of my favorites from our annual portrait session.

Please feel free to contact me about your family portrait, there are some available dates open this year for holiday portrait! You have to book your session before November 24,2007 for Holiday portraits to be delivered before Christmas. Other wise we can do session anytime and anywhere!
